You want samples? We've got samples! Given that audio production was our original service 19 years ago… and remains our core service today… the first few sections below feature our range of audio services, including Audio for Multimedia Presentations, Cartoon and Character Voiceovers, Web Audio. Audio for Trade Shows & Live Events and Radio Commercials. Just below these samples we feature Web Site Design. What's unique about our web site designs is that almost all of them take full advantage of the multimedia capabilities of today's internet. If you visit any of our clients' sites, you'll find extensive use of audio, video and flash animations… almost all of which are produced in-house, here at Laurelwood Productions. And one more thing… each of our web sites is completely unique. No template-built quickies here. Below the Web Site Design section, you'll find a series of Flash Animation sections covering everything from Business Presentations to Banner Ads and Logo Animations. And finally, a very enjoyable addition to our product offerings that resulted from 2007's involvement with noted golf course architect, Scott Pool. During the course of creating two websites for Scott, I photographed many of my favorite holes on his wonderful courses, and Dave's Golf Course Photography is shown in the image viewer at the very bottom of this page.
Audio puts the "Multi" in Multimedia, giving life to images and video. Working with ad agencies, marketing consultants, Flash designers and video producers, we create that "Just Right" audio magic. And deliver it on time and within budget.
The samples here were produced for a variety of industries… from photographic image creation to yacht manufacturing and pharmaceuticals.
Creating cartoon and character voices is one of our specialties… and one of my favorite kinds of projects. Because of our experience with Flash design, we're able to provide audio to Flash designers in a way that makes syncing audio to animation a breeze.
It may seem that cartoon animations are limited in their appeal, but our clients include a wide range of industries one might not typically associate with cartoons. Industries like insurance, deli meat and real estate investment.
Even without video or animation, audio can add power to your web site's message. Often, if your site is text-heavy, a well-produced audio program can hold the attention of your visitors and keep them interested. Let's face it, a page full of text isn't always the most fascinating experience. But turn on the sound and it's entertainment!
The programs in this section were done for organizations with important social missions, including Louisiana's ePortal program in support of education in the state, Recovery Central's campaign to educate children about the dangers of drugs and Custody Calculations' effort to help reduce the stress of child custody battles.
In spite of the explosion of online business activities, radio advertising is still a staple for businesses intent on building market share. We have been producing radio ads for over 18 years so if quality matters, we can help. If you advertise on multiple stations, we'd also suggest that you forego the freebies that come with your time buys and opt for the consistent imaging that comes with providing your own ads to your radio station.
We're proud to be the preferred vendor of radio ads for 1-800-Repairs, so most of the ads featured here are part of that program.
Web site design is an intriguing challenge. Think about it. A web designer has to create a site that will work predictably… and well… on a wide range of monitor sizes and resolutions, in a variety of browsers (none of which follow all the industry standards consistently), via numerous connection speeds, and on an unknown number and variety of computers around the world. And, oh yeah! He or she also has to tell your company's story in such a way that visitors to your site are motivated to do business with you. At the very least, visitors must leave with a greater understanding of your company than they had when they arrived! Sort of raises some questions about those "Build–your–own–web–site–in–20–minutes" offers you can find across the web, doesn't it?
The fact is, at Laurelwood Productions, we enjoy building websites… so if you have a need, and if you like what you see in the samples below, give us a call or drop us an email!
DW Productions is David Waehner, award-winning Atlanta-based musician, songwriter, engineer and producer. David is a good friend and one of the most talented musicians I've ever known. This latest version of David's web site is full of audio samples of his amazing work, so if you're in the mood for a musical interlude, pop on over!

Not only did we design the new 1-800-REPAIRS website, but we have also been designated the preferred vendor for radio ads. As a result, as 1-800-REPAIRS grows and you hear the branded radio ads across the country, think of Laurelwood Productions. We did that!
CLICK HERE to view larger imageAs larger format, higer resolution LCD monitors gain more market share the industry-standard, 775 X 575 pixel, fixed-width web page is shrinking in popularity. A realistic solution to this problem is to design an expanding page with a defined maximum width so we don't completely lose control of the page's layout. This web site, designed for golf course architect, Scott W. Pool, was designed using this technique. Check the photo credits throughout the web site. Many of the images are one's I took.

A dignified and information-rich site, the King and King Attorneys web site is one I'm especially pleased with. The way I look at it, if you can please a lawyer, you can please anybody!
CLICK HERE to view larger imageMy background is very strong in audio recording and production, and the folks at Atlanta Pro Audio have been good friends for a very long time. In fact, Chick Cusick, the owner, is also one of my best golfing buddies. Consequently, the pressure was on to produce a quality site for the Southeast's leading dealer of pro audio equipment. This site is very audio-heavy, with voiceovers by George Lowe (aka The Cartoon Network's Space Ghost) on practically every page. If you have a little time… even if pro audio isn't your thing… it would be worth a visit to this site simply to hear George do what George does best. The man is a genius. A bucket full of crazy, no doubt. But a genius, nonetheless.

The beauty in this very simple, yet elegant, design is in the images themselves. Sharon Meyer's design work speaks for itself, so all I needed to do was create a framework, including 3 separate image galleries to display her work.
CLICK HERE to view larger imageIn addition to building this new website for Asereth Medical Services, a California-based pharmacy staffing service I've continued working with them to develop a successful Google Adwords campaign to draw more attention to the new web site. And while I don't consider myself to be an SEO expert, we've had increasing success over time. One thing I like about this site is that they allowed me to place great music on practically every page. It's a very mellow, soothing site. Check it out.
CLICK HERE to view larger imageThis web site may seem eerily familiar, since it's animated header logo is featured above. But frankly, I just love this wacky site. Michele Torres, the creator of OnHoldVet.net, is incredibly creative. Also a touch goofy. Michele produced the audio for this web site. All we did was design some suitably wacky images and insert a video player on the home page so visitors could enjoy the site of a dog smoking a cigarette!
CLICK HERE to view larger imageThis website was a ton of fun to design and build, owing to the unique GreenScan 3D images that were made available to me by Scott Pool and the fact that I, again, was able to contribute to the site with some golf course photography. It didn't hurt that Scott has become a good friend and allows me to join him for free golf on the courses he's designed on a fairly regular basis. Life is tough!
CLICK HERE to view larger imageThe MidSouth Golf Sales web site was one of our first to make use of Flash video implementation. My attitude about presenting video on a website parallels my thinking on audio… the player should be an integrated part of the page, and no 3rd-party players (Windows Media Player, Quicktime, etc.) should open and obscure the page. If you visit the MidSouth site, you'll see that the 40 minute program on the page pictured here streams perfectly. Video on web pages has arrived… bigtime!
CLICK HERE to view larger imageWhether you're looking for a unique replacement for the standard business card, or want to support your sales team with a professional business presentation that tells your company's story exactly as you want it told, Flash presentations offer a level of flexibility and functionality that is clearly superior to the typical PowerPoint presentation.

This presentation, created both for use on the client's website and on business card CD's, is a good example of how still images, music, voice and animation can give life to ideas. A well-designed Flash presentation can be just as powerful as full motion video… at a much lower cost.

This Flash movie, done as the Home Page Intro for golf course architect, Scott W. Pool's new website, was a treat to produce. To begin with, I'm a golf fanatic. But more importantly, Scott's golf courses are spectacular, so working with the images (I took many of the photos, too) was great fun.

This presentation was created to boost support for the International Baccalaureate program at Sutton Middle School and North Atlanta High School in Atlanta, Georgia. Designed for delivery via business card CD's, it was developed both as a vehicle to get faculty and administrators excited about the Program and as an ongoing resource. The CD's each contained a full complement of IB resource documents, available to each teacher as needed.

YourBizOnCD is one of the products we offer, here at Laurelwood Productions, so if this kind of marketing tool seems interesting to you, you may find the presentation interesting. A business card CD offers much more than a simple vehicle for delivering a FLASH presentation. With up to 50 megs of storage, a business card CD can deliver vast quantities of documents, catalogs, and more… all in an intriguing, attractive package. Great for sales support or mailers, as well as handouts for tradeshows, YourBizOnCD may be something you should consider!
Looking for a way to add some life to your web site without overhauling the entire thing? Maybe adding a logo animation or some Flash Banners is the answer. Here are a few that may give you some ideas.

This looping Banner Ad is a good example of both adding motion to your web site and boosting product awareness. Banner ads can be placed virtually anywhere. This one was designed for the bottom of the page.

An Animated Logo can be used in many ways. This one… for 1-800-REPAIRS… is used in the header of the site's home page. 1-800-REPAIRS is a unique company… and one you'll be hearing more about in the coming months. You can learn more about it at http://www.1800repairs.com.

Another part of the project I did for The Scholarship Network, this Feature Banner was used in the header of the home page. A very powerful way of capturing the attention of visitors, and briefly introducing the service.

As with the ECCO Golf Shoes banner ad above, this Feature Banner is placed at the bottom of the page, looping merrily along as it subliminally tells the GreenScan 3D story. If you're interested in golf, you may find both of Scott W. Pool's websites interesting. Along with his pioneering development of GreenScan 3D, Scott also is a great golf course architect.

As evidenced by the obvious pleasure we take in producing cartoon and character voicings, here at Laurelwood Productions, we do "Goofy". This animated web page header is for a totally goofy website we built for OnHoldVet.net. A creation of Michele Torres, our favorite female voice talent (and person!), this website takes goofy to a new level in business-oriented web sites. If you're interested, you can check it out at http://www.onholdvet.net.
Golf course photography is not what I would consider one of my core areas of expertise, but during my work with golf course architect, Scott Pool, I had the privilege of photographing some of his remarkable courses, as well as a couple of courses for which Scott was providing his GreenScan 3D services. The good news is, I also had the joyful experience of playing several of them. Great courses. Anyway, these images will give you a taste of both my photography and Scott's golf course design work.
