Adobe Flash is the most common plug-in on the planet. In fact, according to an independent survey by Millward Brown published in June of 2008, over 99% of internet users have the Flash Player on their computers. This ubiquity allows designers to create a vast array of animations and functional applications for use on websites. (In fact, there are many designers who create entire web sites in Flash, although I'm not one of them.)

I began working in Flash about 10 years ago, when I needed to create a logo animation for my own web site. Fortunately, my nephew is a Flash guru of the first magnitude (Justin, at CartoonSmart.com), so with his help I was able to launch my love/hate affair with Flash in solid fashion. Today, my use of Flash includes the creation of logo animations, banner ads, more complex Flash features and business presentations, as well as the use of Flash technology to deliver audio and video programming in an integrated fashion on web pages.

If you're looking for a simple, cost-effective way to spice up your web site, in lieu of building an entirely new site, Flash animations from Laurelwood Productions may just be the answer!
