Audio production was our original focus when I opened the doors of Laurelwood Productions in 1989, and it remains the core service we offer.  But what exactly do I mean by "Audio production?"  To someone not in the business, it may seem a bit vague and could mean many things, but for our purposes, let's define audio production as the creation of audio content for almost any delivery medium.  We produce custom audio programming for live events.  We also produce radio ads and audio for multimedia programming.  Our specialty, though, is audio for web sites, Flash animations and other internet applications, but we can provide custom audio programming for practically any need.

Typically, our work consists of voiceovers with music or some kind of ambient background mixed in.  From time to time, we create custom audio ambient environments for events or multimedia use.  And, naturally, we can also deliver voiceovers without any background.

Radio Ads

With over 18 years experience in the business, we have some excellent voices at our disposal.  Atlanta, our home, is a major market for talent, so if your project calls for something unique, we can deliver the perfect voice.  If you visit our "Choose A Voice" page, you can hear samples of the folks we work with most often, but there are other very talented folks who are available for your project if you don't hear exactly what you need.

Contracting for and buying audio production via the internet may seem daunting, but it's really not.  The first thing you'll need is a script.  Along with production, we also offer script editing services, so if you're not sure your script is right on target, we can help.  To price your job, we'll need to time your script, know your voice choice and know what, if any, directions you may have concerning the way your piece is produced.  We'll also need to know how the piece will be used… particularly if the piece will be used in a broadcast format.

Once we agree on a price, we'll invoice you 50% of the cost, which will need to be paid before we begin work.  Once your job is completed, we'll put it up on our website for you to review and approve.  Typically, for shorter programs… 2 minutes or less… we'll produce two or three versions from which you can choose.  For longer programs, we usually have a clear enough understanding of your direction that we'll only provide one.  Once you approve your project, we'll invoice you for the final payment.  Once that invoice is paid, we will deliver your audio production via email or ftp, depending on its size.

99 times out of 100, our clients are extremely pleased with our work… a record we're very proud of… but sometimes we miss.  When/if we do, we're glad to try again for you.  Our goal is your complete satisfaction.  If for some reason we cannot produce work that satisfies your requirements, we'll refund your deposit.  As an aside… I can't remember the last time we had to return a deposit.

Hopefully, this little treatise has helped you to better understand what we do and how we work.  If you have a project that's ready to go, just Email Us and we'll be glad to get started.  Otherwise, I hope you'll make our site one of your Favorites and come back when you're ready.
