I founded Laurelwood Productions in 1989, shortly after leaving my position as General Manager of IDEAS, Inc., an Atlanta-based Exhibit Design firm. Prior to my 7 year stint in the exhibit industry I was involved in the music industry, as a performer and recording artist, and Laurelwood Productions was my opportunity to return to my love… audio recording.
Initially, I recorded on-hold messages for small businesses in the Atlanta area and provided specialty audio production services for corporate events in Atlanta, working thru local destination management companies. In time, my connections in the hospitality and trade show industry landed me an opportunity to provide "directional messages" for The National Cable Television Association's annual trade show. What fun! Taking the show manager's directive and expanding on it, I not only provided directional messages and show information for show management, but also sold advertising to exhibitors, which paid for the service… much appreciated by show management.
My experience with NCTA led to more trade shows and, eventually, an association with American Exhibition Services, a Birmingham, Alabama company that provides an array of marketing services for trade shows nationwide. For several years, we provided Audio Billboard (the name I gave the service) for about 30 major trade shows per year, coast to coast. In 1997, I ended the relationship with AES and essentially set Audio Billboard aside, though I still provide these services for The World Dairy Expo in Madison, Wisconsin each year.
About the time I stopped production of Audio Billboard, I began to dabble in web site design, beginning with my own first web site, in 1998. That first site led to another, and another… and then with the help of my nephew, founder of CartoonSmart and a highly regarded FLASH guru, I began my adventures with FLASH design. Combining these new skills with over 20 years of professional audio production experience, my specialty has become the delivery of audio, FLASH and video programming over the web. And over the past 10 years, web site design and FLASH design have become very important elements in my product mix.

Today, with almost 30 years of audio production experience and a solid core of very talented voiceover artists available to us, we produce a wide variety of affordable audio programming, from corporate narrations and radio ads to totally wacky characters and environments for Flash animations. We enjoy the corporate work we produce for clients across the country and around the world, but we must admit to having a particular fondness for producing cartoon voices for animations. There's something especially satisfying and enjoyable in giving voice to talking hot dogs, mosquitoes, golf balls, pastrami sandwiches and more. If you're a Flash animator in search of the perfect character voices to add that final touch of magic to your creations, I hope you'll check out our audio production samples and give us a call or drop us an email.
If you´ve tried the "Have your own professional web site in just 20 minutes!" cheapies and found them unsatisfactory; and don´t have any need for the costly, database driven mega-sites preferred by major corporate players, we can help. Our websites are designed to tell your story in a manner consistent with your company´s personality. We don´t use the same old templates you find all over the web. Everything we design and build is completely custom… designed for you and nobody else. If your goal is to establish a professional presence on the web without breaking the bank, you´ve come to the right place! More…
As the internet has matured into the fully functional multimedia environment it is today, we have found a new "voice" in the form of Flash Design. We don´t do the kind of Flash character animations for which we provide cartoon voicings, but if you´re looking for a superior alternative to the typical PowerPoint presentation, we can help. You´ll find that Flash presentations work well on the internet, for live presentations and for use on business card CD´s. More…
